We have worked as nannies and in childcare ourselves therefore we understand the pressure and responsibility involved with caring for other people’s children.

We interview all candidates face to face and thoroughly check their references, qualifications and proof of identity. All our nannies will hold a childcare qualification or have at least 2 years’ experience working with children. We make sure that candidates have a DBS Check (previously CRB check) and we ask all candidates to attend a Paediatric First Aid Course.

We are on hand during the interviewing process and can provide you with a sample job description and interview tips with suggested questions.

After successful placement we will advise you on Tax & NI, Contract of Employment, Insurance and offer continued support during the placement.

We can help to find

– Nanny

– Nanny/Housekeeper

– Mother’s Help

A Nanny is a qualified and experienced childcarer with the experience and skills to provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment for your child. The nanny looks after the child(ren) and ensures that all their emotional & physical needs are met whilst they are in their care.

  • Daily nanny (full time or part time) will hold a sole charge position and work up to 12 hours per day.
  • Live in nanny is normally expected to work Monday – Friday up to 12 hours a day. Live in nannies will also babysit 1-2 evenings per week.

You can employ a full time or part time nanny. An average day for a nanny is 8am-6pm but many nannies work up to 12 hours a day.

A Nanny/Housekeeper is an experienced nanny who combines household management with childcare. This role usually works best with children of school age. The duties can include family washing, ironing, shopping and general cleaning. The nanny takes care of the household duties prior to collecting the children from school. This can be a daily or live in position.

Mother’s Help may work well for parents who work from home or parents who work part-time and want housework and childcare combined. Mother’s Help is very popular with mothers who just need an extra pair of hands. A Mother’s Help is usually not a qualified person. They can be daily or live in and work the same hours as nannies.

As an employer you are legally required to register with HMRC and operate a PAYE scheme on your nanny’s behalf. You are responsible for collecting tax and national insurance from your nanny’s salary. We will advise you on nanny payroll companies.
